Renault Trezor

The Renault Trezor concept is 4.7m long, 1.08 m high and 2.18 m wide and has a long bonnet and a two-seater cabin with a coupé-like roofline. However, it features unique design elements such as a single-piece clamshell roof and a carbon-fibre spine which connects the front and rear tubular steel frames. The unique construction has resulted in a relatively low weight of just 1600kg.

On the inside, the Trezor concept gets deep-red leather interiors and a dashboard, which has been designed in collaboration with KEIM-cycles, a French company renowned for its custom, wooden, high-performance cycle frames. The dashboard sports a large L-shaped display while the steering wheels features three displays that holds all the controls for the tech that is available on the GT concept.

Powering the Trezor is an electric motor which develops 350PS of power and 380Nm of torque. The motor draws power from two different battery packs located separately – one at the front and other at the rear. Each battery has its own cooling system optimised by variable-geometry air intake incorporated in the bonnet. The Trezor also has a brake-operated energy recovery system. And, Renault claims the Trezor can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in less than four seconds.

Mercedes Benz vision EQ

Combining the past racing history of the Mercedes silver arrows with the future of the brands EQ electric vehicles, comes the Vision EQ Silver Arrows Concept. Unveiled at the 2018 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, the EQ Silver Arrows concept car is a homage to the Mercedes W 125 which won the 1937 European Championship.

Designed as a single seater, the body work is made entirely from carbon fiber and finished with Alubeam Silver paint that mimics the metallic look of the original silver arrow Grand Prix racers. Mercedes are claiming the electric powertrain is capable of delivering 738 horsepower, and is backed by a 80 kWh battery pack that is good for a 250 mile range.

Interestingly, depending on configuration, the driver can make the EXP 100 GT a two-seater, three-seater or four-seater by a single click.

And since the Bentley EXP 100 GT is not an electric car for the average Joe, it does one important thing. it proves that Bentley recognizes electrification as the ultimate trend for the next century and attracts even more people to get interested in electric cars.
